test fails to compile, but there is no FAIL diagnostic written to the log

When compiled upder GCC/UPC 4.0.3.4, the "cast" test fails to compile:
>--------------> Working on unit -- cast COMPILER ERROR: The unit [cast] cannot be compiled The unit will not be run!!! cast.upc: In function 'main': cast.upc:69: error: layout qualifier cannot be applied to a void type
although this test is counted and listed as failure, there is no FAILED diagnostic written to the log for this test.

- resolution set to fixed.
test should be passing now. However, I am not sure about the error here, since the scripts create the output same for each unit
